Easter Week 2019 has exceeded expectations and the tourist occupancy was 91% on average.
According to the data provided by the Calella accommodation establishments opened during Easter Week, the average occupancy was 91.58%, which represents an increase of 8.82% compared to 2018.
Among the main markets, in the first place (with 38.06% of occupation) have been tourists from Spain, followed by Germans, French, Italians, British and the rest of Europe. The establishments opened during Easter Week in Calella have added a total of 8,990 places (a 65.67% of the total), a data also higher than last year (64%).
These data confirm that Calella has become one of the preferred tourist destinations. Its proximity to Barcelona, as well as the good communications with the Catalan capital, make our city a preferred destination.
Also, the organization of cultural and gastronomic events, such as the Carpe Birrem, the craft beer festival, or the Festimatge, which lasts until the end of April, along with sports events and the recovery of the Holy Week processions, they are attractive added and valued by the tourism that chooses Calella to spend their vacations.
