The Screamin' 50s Rock 'n' Rhythm Festival

In Calella we like to dance. Our fondness for live concerts and folk dances is known. When summer arrives and the days seem to never come to an end, the music explodes and the bustle colours the streets. In early June an electric sound of contagious melodies makes us shake our feet more than usual.

Screamin' was during the 50´s one of Spain´s most important rock festivals. This week the chords of primitive rock and roll invade the city. The usual dynamism of the streets multiplies and a convoy of classic cars and hot rods arrive to make their engines roar. Musicians who always bring good stories, leave the city with a handful of unforgettable memories. These are moments of happiness that the people of Calella share with visitors from around the world.
