International Choir Festival "Canta al Mar"
Canta al Mar
Singing is a gesture of joy. A common expression for all mankind, with a strong tradition for the Mediterranean people. In Calella we honour this history with a contest we have the privilege of hosting.
The festival “Canta al Mar” (Chant to the sea) brings groups of singers from all continents together every year for a week. As an echo of sirens that Ulysses circumvented, the city is filled with voices and melodies that during the day of the contest sing all at once. An almost dreamlike spectacle culminated by the soft autumn night of the coast.
