The Salon Mondial du Tourisme is the only fair in Paris open to the general public and in the previous edition it received 99,800 visitors.
Calella has participated in the 44th edition of the Salon Mondial du Tourisme, held in Paris from March 14 to 17, with its own counter in the Turespaña stand. It is the most important generic fair in the tourism sector in France, aimed exclusively at the final public, and this year has attended by 400 exhibitors of tourism professionals, travel agencies, tourist offices and acommodation, among others.

France, the first issuer of tourists in Catalonia
Catalonia remains the preferred international destination of the French, and according to the Catalan Tourism Agency, it is a mature and demanding market that represents the first international issuing market for Catalonia in terms of expenditure and number of tourists.
The main motivations of French visitors to come to Catalonia are cultural resources, good gastronomy and visits to family and friends, and are also increasingly sensitive to sustainable products.
