Walking along the spurs of the Montnegre

Where green and blue blend, in the middle of nature, you can enjoy one of the best moments that certainly feed the soul! We invite you to discover the flora and fauna of an area that integrates sea and mountains in full harmony at the foothills of Montnegre Corredor Natural Park.

Route of the squirrel

Along this route you can admire the date trees and laten trees and appreciate the coolness of the modernist promenade of Manuel Puigvert, with its dense foliage and centenary trees.  This route also takes you to the Dalmau Park where you can enjoy nature in the very centre of the city with the predominance of pine trees ideal for pine nuts to aliment the many squirrels in the park. You can also see the holm oaks and many birds such as the great tit to name just one.

Route of the cormorant

This beautiful route takes you along the beach route until you come to the bottom of the lighthouse where you take the stairs up to the main NII road and continue to the wooden bridge, crossing over to get to the Torretes and also to the lighthouse. You can admire the beautiful natural coved beaches of Calella and you can find typical Mediterranean vegetation such as lavender, tamarisk and chamomile. From the viewpoint of Les Roques you can see the cormorants drying their wings in the sun. The views from the lighthouse and the towers are also magnificent and ideal for taking photos

Route of the fox

This route takes you up towards the Montnegre Corredor Natural Park. Here you will find a great diversity of mediterranena fauna dominated by cork trees and many different plants and a richness of mediteranean herbs such as mint, tamarisk, rosemary, chamomile, etc. The “Serra de Las Guilles” Sierra of the foxes is an important biological area which continues down from the natural Park right to the sea.  Along this route you may see animals such as the fox, the small spotted genet, squirrels or badgers. There are many species of birds such as jays, woodpigeons, great tits, sparrow hawks, buzzards and eagles.
